Cube Aim Disc Review
Cube Aim Disc Review
The Cube AIM DISC Hardtail mountain bike offers superb value at only £319. The bicycle itself looks fantastic in Stealth Black or Lime Green and comes with a tasty component list featuring Shimano groupset and Schwalbe tyres. Lets break it down for you:
Frame and Fork: Aluminium Cube frame with Suntour fork offering 100mm of travel – not the lightest bike out there but standard at this price point at 13.5kg
Brakes: Good to see hydraulic disc brakes at under £400 and the Tektro’s on the cube will provide great stopping power and minimum maintenance.
Wheel set and Tyres: Alu rims and hubs – own brand but should work fine for trail routes and general riding. The Schwalbe tyres are a nice touch and offer good grip on hard pack, fire road and tarmac.
Groupset & gears: Shimano altus and Acera are solid budget offerings from the worlds biggest bicycle component manufacturer. Good solid shifting and drive.
Finishing kit and controls: Cube own brand gear completes the bike, again solid, nothing fancy – looks great and does the job. 640mm wide handlebards could be upgraded, but many will be happy with the width.
For the price (Currently £319) this bike is amazing value and will perform admirably on forest trails and longer xc loops. A great bike to get into cycling with!

The Cube ACID Disc is built to be reliable and look the part wherever you take. Well equipped, which has become expected with Cube mountain bikes. The Cube ACID Disc is designed to be comfortable on the trails and the road. With the Schwalbe Black Jack tyres the Cube ACID has a smooth ride and the addition of a Suntour fork which absorbs the bumps of day to day life on the road.
A reliable hardtail with comfortable seating position, efficient 24-speed transmission and extended capabilities thanks to disc brakes. The Aluminum Lite 6061 frame is specially designed for use with disc brakes.
The cross-ovalized down tube is manufactured using the Advanced Mechanical forming process, designed for high durability. RFR geometry delivers a comfortable riding position due to a shorter top tube. The Frame Save System consists of a replaceable derailleur hanger with thread in the hanger.
The Tektro HDC 330 disc brakes offer reliable stopping power. Comfort comes from the Schwalbe Black Jack tires and the Scape Active 8 saddle. The bike also includes clean cable routing, Scape Aluminium stem and handlebar, and Shimano 3×8 components with Acera rear derailleur. The Suntour XCT fork comes with 100mm of travel.
